Description
The first Épagneul Breton appeared in Russia in 2003.
In 2014 there were 200 dogs in the country and the Russian Club Épagneul Breton (R.C.E.B) was founded.
The R.C.E.B. has been a member of the AICEB since 2016.
The Russian team participated in the AICEB Championship in 2018.
Currently there are 135 members of the Club, including 9 breeders.
Our goals and objectives are popularization Épagneul Breton in Russia as a hunting breed, formation of common approaches to breeding work within the FCI standard No. 95 and the requirements of the breed creators, collecting and exchanging information about the status of the breed in Russia and abroad, holding special breed field trials, competitions and dog shows.
Since 2020 we publish the annual magazine of the Club to disseminate important and interesting information to owners, breeders and judges.
The popularity of the Épagneul Breton is constantly growing in Russia from year to year. Registered in 2024:
– 361 dogs (total)
– 62 litters (346 puppies)
– 15 imported dogs
In the 17 years of the breed’s existence in Russia 2,671 dogs have been registered in the RKF.
Undoubtedly there are many problems, but we believe that solutions will be found for the benefit of our beloved breed.
